You may not thing this is cute but it has made me happy so it is!
I’m about to tell you all a little story :-) it is one of laughter, tears and a friendship that has defined all odds!
When I was 5 years old I started at a little primary school in New Zealand, on my first day I met a girl called Brianna. that day we became best friends! We were inseparable, we did everything together, we played, we sang, we did everything that little girls loved to do :) we had nicknames for each other I was gg or gfriend and she was bb or bfriend :p by the end of our 4th year of being friends our lives we completely intertwined, our family’s were close and we were never apart!
But then something sad happened we were both told we were moving, Brianna back to Wellington and me to Australia.. We were in shock! We cried for weeks, not being able to cope with the thought of life without our best friend..
The first few months apart were super hard !! We wrote letters and even flew to see each other however gradually we lost contact :-( we both had moved around and not been able I find the others details :/ anyway life went on and at Christmas I went back to nz to see some family while I was there I tried my best to get into contact with her however no one knew where her family was or how to contact them, after weeks of searching I have up hope and accepted that after 8 years I didn’t have any chance of seeing her again :”(
I returned to Australia with out any clue of where she was or how she was doing accepting defeat!
Recently After I came home disaster struck and I Lost a close friend, I was a reck and have really struggled with the loss! I felt down and didn’t really know where my life was going, then something incredible happened !!! I went on Facebook and saw I had a friend request! It was from Brianna and guess what she had been trying to find me as well!!
From then up until now we have been talking nonstop! She has helped me so much in dealing with the loss of my other friend and it is like we never were separated! We talk daily an are planning to see each other some time in the next year! I’m so excited!
Anyway I’m so happy I found my best friend I am telling everyone our story! I’m telling not just bc of my joy but bc it is a story of hope, a success story, a story that shows that if a friendship is strong it will stay unbreakable no matter the distance!
